England 256/8(87 overs), Day 2nd, 1st test


With the help of marvelous inning played by Nick Compton , who scored 85 runs after facing 236 deliveries and that by James Taylor, who scored 70 runs after facing 137 deliveries, English team has scored 256 runs at a loss of 8 wickets on the second day of first test match at Kingsmead in Durban.

James Taylor and Nick Compton dug England out of trouble on a rain-hit first day of the first Test against South Africa after having half centuries for each, but Taylor got out by Steyn at the end of the day. 

Nick Compton is still on the field with his marvelous inning in which he has added 63 after facing 179 deliveries, which also include 4 boundaries.

Dale Steyn got 3 wickets and Morne Morkel got 4 wickets, with the help of which South Africa is going to pack up England's first inning most probably within 300 runs.



India 215/10&176/10, South Africa 

79/10&185/10, Day 3, 3rd Test Match

With the help of 12 wicket tones of Ashwin and 4 wicket tones from both Amit Mishra and Jadeja, Team India defeated South Africa by 124 runs in the third test match of the four test match series played at Nagpur.

With this win, India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the test series of four matches, with just one more game to go. In the second match, none of the teams could get a result and hence only a single test match has been left in the series, which means that Team India has clinched off this series before the last game.

From the bowling department of team India, Ashwin got the best performance of his test career as he took 7 wickets in the second inning and 5 ones in the first, which collectively become 12 wicket tone from the most experienced spinner of India just for 98 runs.

Ashwin got man of the match for his 12 wicket haul in both innings of South Africa.

Day 2, 3rd Test Match

On the second day of the third test match between India and South Africa, spinners got tremendous support from the wicket of Nagpur as total wickets shared by spinners on the day is 17 wickets.

Ashwin got 5 wickets and Jadeja got four wickets, which helped India to pack up the South Africans first inning just at a total of 79 runs, which is the least score of South Africa against India.

After South Africa, it was the turn of Indian batsmen who could not found the trick against Imran Tahir and Morkel as team India's second inning got packed up just at a total score of 176 runs. Imran

Tahir got 5 wickets and Morkel got three, which packed up Indian batting line up just at a total score of 176 runs.

Now, India need 8 wickets to win this four match series and South Africa needs 278 runs to win the third test match at Nagpur as South Africa lost its two early wickets at just a total score of 32 runs in the fourth inning of the match.

India 215/10(78.2 overs), South Africa 79/10&

(9 overs), Day 1, 3rd Test Match

South Africa dismissed India for 215 in the first innings with nine overs more to play on Day 1 of the third Test match at the VAC stadium in Nagpur, on Wednesday.

After pack up of the first inning of the Indian batting line up, South African team also got initial shock and South Africans have lost its two early wickets very quickly just at a score of 12 runs in their first innings.

South Africans are trailing by 204 runs from the first inning total of Team India in the third test match of four test match series of the tour.

South African main pacer Morne Morkel took three wicket for 35 runs and other three wickets were equally shared by Rabada, Dean and Imran Tahir.

Ashwin got the important wicket of Van, who got caught out by Rahane and Jadeja got wicket of South African night watchman Imran Tahir who could not defend his wickets on a perfect delivery from Jadeja, which made South African score 12 runs at the loss of two wickets.

Bangladesh: 135/9, 20 overs, Zimbabwe: 42/5, 

9.4 overs

In a twenty twenty match against Bangladesh, Zimbabwe has scored 42 runs at a loss of five wicket in 9.4 overs. Bangladesh scored 135 runs in fixed 20 overs and gave a target of 136 runs to win the match for Zimbabwe.

Anamul Haque made 47 runs of 51 balls and Tamim Iqbal scored 21 runs of 15 balls, with the help of which Bangladesh scored 135 runs in 20 overs. Zimbabwe need 94 runs in 64 balls and has only 5 wickets left in hand.

Australia: 559/9, New Zealand: 510/6, Day 3

Against a big Australian total of 559/9 in the second test match of the test series , New Zealand has scored 510 runs with a loss of six wickets. Now, New Zealand is 49 runs behind the Australian total after the stumps of the game of third day.

Now, if New Zealand takes a lead of 100 runs over Australia, driving seat will be of New Zealand team and hence Australian will be under a big pressure against this inning lead.

Ross Taylor played a great inning of 235 runs just on 308 balls and Kane Williamson scored 166 runs of 250 balls. With the help of both these tremendous innings, New Zealand scored 510 runs and got very close to the Australian  first inning score, 559 runs.

South Africa: 214/10, India: 80/0, Day 2

Due to heavy rain at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore, on Sunday, whole second day game of the second test match of the four match series between India and South Africa got vanished. Umpires found it impossible to have a game of single ball over the whole day and hence decided to stay outside of the field.

The hope for the upcoming day games of the match is also not very great as there is prediction of huge amount of rainfall during the upcoming 3 days. India was on the driving seat of the match, but now South Africans are getting a little bit help from the weather as they are lagging behind the Indian team in this test match. But now, South African bowlers will expect a little bit help from the pitch  after the rain because there might be a little help  for pacers from the pitch because of presence of moisture in the pitch due to rain.

South Africa:53/3 (17.0 Over), Day 1

India have won the toss and have opted to field in the second test match of the four test match series against South Africa, at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore, on Saturday.

Recently, South Africa has lost three early wickets just at a score of 53 runs in 17 overs. Ashwin got both batsmen out by two brilliant deliveries in a same over.

Varun Aron got the third wicket of South Africa when he clean bowled out South Africa captain Amla .

Australia 556/4&264/4, New Zealand

Australia has won the first test against New Zealand by 208 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the test series . Kane Williamson scored 59 runs and Brendon McCullum scored 80 runs, still New Zealand first inning packed up at a total score of just 295 runs in front of huge total of Australia and lost the match my 208 runs.

David Warner is declared as Man of the Match for scoring tow centuries in both the innings.

India 201/10 &200/10, South Africa 184/10 

&109/10, India won by 108 runs

With the help of 5 wicket tone from Ravindra Jadeja and 3 wicket from Ashwin, India won the first test match at Mohali stadium against South Africa as South African batting line-up got packed up at just a total score of 109 runs at day 3 of the Mohali test.

Ravindra Jadeja was declared the man of the match for his valuable 38 runs in first inning and total eight wickets in both the innings, which was the main cause of the South African loss against India.

Only four South African batsmen could make it possible to score in two digits and hence only a single long partnership for seventh wicket between Simon and Zyl of 42 runs became a sign of resistance from Africans.

West Indies 181/8, 32 overs

A one day match between West Indies and Sri Lanka got affected due to rain and umpires decided to reduce the number of overs to be played to 36 overs from 50 overs. Batting first, West Indies has scored 181 runs in 32 overs and a total game of 4 overs has been left for the West Indies innings.

Marlon Samuels has completed his century just on 85 balls and is still on the crease.

Australia 556/4&264/4, New Zealand 317/10

Australia has scored 264/4 in his second inning of the match and has taken a total lead of 503 runs over New Zealand as New Zealand first inning got packed up at just a total of 317 runs in front of 556 runs of Australians first inning score.

Joe Burns scored 129 runs of just 123 runs and David Warner scored 116 runs of just 113 balls, which helped Australia to take a huge lead of 503 runs over New Zealand. Kane Williamson scored 140 runs and fought alone against Australian bowlers, which helped New Zealand to reach a good total of 317 runs.

Ageing pitch might have slow down: Mohali Curator

Mohali Curator Daljit Singh gave statement about the behavior of  track and stated that it might have slow down with the progress of game towards 3rd or 4th days of the game. He further said that the track will be great for the spinners from the 3rd day of the game. 

Talking about the probability of result of the first test match of the test series to be played between India and South Africa, chief curator Daljit Singh said that the pitch will definitely be result oriented and we may have a quiet close match between both the tremendous teams.


He further added, “It’s a normal Mohali wicket. Our pitch is 23-year-old, so it is not the same old fresh pitch as before. It is an ageing pitch, which has not been re-laid, but it has played well in the matches that have happened in the recent past.

Talking more clearly this time, Daljit Singh said , “The main aim of the curator is to prepare a result-oriented track and that’s what we have tried. The skills of the game should come on display, whether it is fast bowling, spin or bat. So we are hoping that it turns out to be a sporting track as there is prediction of rain as well on one of the days,”


With the question of not having expected  pitches for hosts, Daljit said,“Home advantage is nothing new. But it has its limitations as well. The character of the pitch will remain the same no matter what,” He further added  about the controversies about the pitch, “It happens everywhere. See what happened in England when they lost the first Test, the second Test ended in two days. It is all a controversy.” 

“It might have slowed down a bit as it is an old pitch. Like humans, the pitch also grows old. We have repaired the footmarks that were left in the previous matches and it will certainly hold well,” the former first-class player said.

Now, we all hope that it will be a great competitive match for both the teams and we will get a tough fight between both champions for the first win in the series to take 1-0 lead and get a psychological advantage for the upcoming matches.

Real Madrid beat Las Palmas

At the Bernabeu on Saturday, Las Palmas was beaten by Real Madrid and with this win, Real Madrid got 3 points whole and team is now at the top position  of the La Liga table.

After just four minutes of the start of the game,   Luka Modric fed Isco, who beat the goalkeeper with a smart finish.

Just after 10 minutes, Cristiano Ronaldo found Marcelo's lofted cross  and Ronaldo headed it inside the left post.

 Hernan's header beated the keeper and  seven minutes before the half time, first goal from Las Palmas came into the game.

Now, Jese received a pass from Toni Kroos and converted it into a goal, making the scorecard 3-1.

Ronaldo missed one or two chance to score few more goals otherwise difference of goals would have been much larger than as it is visible after match.

At the end, Las Palmas tried to get back into the game with few attacks in last minutes, but Real comfortably defended their two-goal advantage to collect all three points.

If BCCI does not, DDCA should organize a farewell match for me: Virendra Sehwag

Today, Virendra Sehwag said the sadness of being deprived of a farewell game will always     remain in his mind. Talking about the conversation between selectors and him, Sehwag mentioned that "  They told me that hey are going to keep me out from the team. I requested them to allow me a game at Delhi  and after that let me declare the end of my career, but they did not give me a chance to say good bye to my career at my home ground".



Virendra further added "It will be always in my mind that they did not allow me to retire at my home ground. Even though it is a part of the life of a player, but as soon as a player is out of the team, he starts to think about the next step of his career."

Sehwag said to organize a farewell match as a last match of his career and requested  that if BCCI does not go for it, then DDCA should organize it.Its not only about me, each and every player who  retires, must get a farewell match as the last match of his career.

Federer, Nadal advance to Swiss Indoors final

BASEL, Switzerland (AP)- For the first time in two and half year, Roger Federer will face Rafael Nadal in a final , which will be played today.

Both players got a straight set win over their rivals yesterday in  a quiet easy match and now both will meet first on court since January and first final since May 2013.
                 

Federer is  a  local hero over here and for the firs time , Rafael will play against  Roger at the hometown of Roger. It will be first time when Rafael will face Federer at his home ground.

Nadal said ''It's another final against an amazing player,''   and also added that he is quiet excited about an opportunity to play a match that is special.




In the   Rome Masters final in May 2013 , Nadal had a straight set win over Federer and also a tremendous win over him   in the Australian Open semifinals. It will be  a psychological advantage of Rafael over Federer.

Over this court, Federer has a advantage of being six time winner while Nadal has only one win out of 67 titles of his career.

When asked about his probability of win over this court, Nadal said ''It's a long time ago, you probably forget it,'' Nadal quipped to reporters. ''I don't have the ideal opponent to win again, but I won on grass (in Stuttgart) after a couple of years without winning.''

Federer said ''I think he has played pretty well here, the rumors that he can't play tennis anymore at the beginning of the week.''

In his last match, Federer had a smoother path, and Sock did well to stretch the match beyond one hour when Federer was two points from victory serving with a 5-2 lead.

While Nadal faced a little problem with his fitness during previous match and his knee got injured , returning with tape below his right knee, Nadal quickly recovered and broke Gasquet's serve twice to take the first set, clinching it with a fierce forehand topspin passing shot.

"I had one scary moment but then it's fine,'' said Nadal. ''I am happy with the way the knee answers after that.''

We hope that we will get a great final match between two great rivals at the court today.

Federer defeated Nadal in ATP Final 2015

Roger Federer defeated Rafael Nadal in the ATP final yesterday at the Swiss Indoors Basel in straight sets of 6-3, 5-7, 6-3. With this tremendous win, Roger added seventh title in his hometown in his achievement list and ended the gap of  42 months win against Nadal.                                  
Federer and Nadal renewed their storied rivalry on the indoor hard courts of the ATP World Tour 500 event, with the Swiss winning for the first time since the 2012 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, after a wait of 21 months.


After this tremendous win over Nadal, Federer said "It was one of my best weeks in Basel, considering everything I've done throughout my career here".  After all, Federer once again proved the fact that he is a tremendous player , and at the stage of this time when every one thought that he is at his last moment, he has given a solid answer to his critics who declared that Roger is at the last stage of his career.

After getting his 7th title in his hometown, he said " I thought the match was close. I had my chances in the second, but he fought back well, like he's done throughout the week really. Overall I was really happy how I played and it was a very special day.

He further added "I know I've had better backhand days and he's had better forehand days than today, but the match was high quality and it was entertaining and exciting for both of us as well. The confidence is good, no doubt about that. It's good to get back into the mood of winning after Shanghai... I think the body's gotten used to match play again after all these weeks of not playing."

After his loss against Federer after 42 months, Nadal said "My goal is to get back to my level and be competitive against the top players again and today I was very competitive against one of the best players in the world". He further added "The match wasn't far away from me. He played well and I played well too. The match was very close to win, but I think he served very well in the third. I want to congratulate him for the victory and I had a lot of quality things in my game and mental side to take away from the week."

AB De Villiers enhanced the problems for Indian cricket team.

 A tremendous batsman, a great fielder and a clever captain, AB De Villiers has indicated a continuation of tremendous form of One Day format when he made a century in a practice match against the home team with a strike rate of  90.
None of the Board President's XI bowlers are in the Indian Test squad but Thakur made a case for himself with searing spells on both days. On Friday evening, Thakur removed Stiaan van Zyl and Simon Hamer and, on the second morning, he added the wickets of Faf du Plessis and Hashim Amla to his tally.

It is the fourth century from De Villiers in the present tour of South Africa and hence it indicates how clear and fine his batting is going on in this tour on  Indian wickets and atmosphere. No fear of spin and no fear of swing, AB is doing it in his own style.

The chant of the crowd as "ABD,ABD"  clearly shows that there are a number of fans of De Villiers in India and they all supported him very well. Now, Indian bowlers would like to have a well planned set up to get the valuable wicket of AB De Villiers.
